Fidelity Month is a grassroots movement that observes the month of June as a season for rededicating ourselves to God, our spouses and families, and our country and communities. It brings together Americans of different religious and political beliefs who share a commitment to these basic values as the sources of our nation’s unity and strength. June 2026 will be the fourth annual observance.
This essay contest for rising high school juniors and seniors celebrates Fidelity Month 2026 this June and our nation's semiquincentennial on July 4th.
Students will write 700-1000 word essays responding to one or more prompts about the importance of faithfulness—even when it's challenging and unpopular—to the basic values that unite Americans: faithfulness to God, our spouses and families, and our country and communities.
Submissions will be due July 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT.
Winning essays will receive scholarship awards.
The first place essay will be published in Public Discourse.
